Commencing at around 6:00 am, the morning safari is considered superior, as leopards venture out for hunting just before sunrise, leaving behind their cubs. Besides leopard sightings, this batch offers the added delight of spotting the incredible birds of Jawai. Avifauna becomes active one hour before sunrise, embarking on their search for food.
The scenic allure of Jawai intensifies with the evening sun casting its glow on the hills. Jawai Leopard Safari tops the list among the activities in Jawai Bandh. There are no well-defined safari gates or safari zones, unlike the other national parks in India. However, there are 180 safari jeeps, operating inside the property. There are no safari guides but the drivers are aptly learned and well-versed with the surrounding areas, such that the drivers can almost appropriately anticipate the sighting of leopards. There are around 40-50 leopards, that call Jawai their home. One of the unique characteristics of the leopards at Jawai is if they are sighted at a particular spot, then the leopard will be present in the same area almost throughout the day.
Although leopards are nocturnal animals, but at Jawai, these fauna species can be sighted any time of the day. Jeep safaris are conducted in the morning and evening shifts. However, the chances of sighting leopards are higher in the evening.

The commencement point of the Jeep Safari is usually from the Doodni Village and then diverges to two different zones, namely, Bera and Sena. The duration of the jeep safari lasts for about 2 hours in both the zones.
The safari route spans for around 15 km. Currently known as the Jawai Bandh Community Reserve, Bera stands as a charming village in the vicinity of Jawai Bandh in Rajasthan. The area showcases the timeless beauty of Rajasthan, featuring the Aravalli Hills and lush shrubland with cacti and keekar. Renowned among wildlife enthusiasts, this locale captures attention due to regular leopard sightings. The hillocks, tranquil caves, and the presence of the Jawai River and dam collectively form an ideal habitat for leopards to roam and flourish.
The safari route spans for about 6-7 km. Situated in the Pali district of Rajasthan, Sena village is home to an environmentally conscious campsite known as Sena Safari Camp Jawai. Operated by amiable locals from Jawai, the camp ensures a holistic experience of the region.
